Minimum Position Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree required and at least one (1) year of professional experience in college admissions (student recruitment experience maybe considered as substitute for professional experience), orientation, or student life. A valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications include: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least two (2) years of professional experience in college admissions.
The department is especially interested in candidates with exceptional work ethic, strong communication skills, detail oriented, and professional maturity. This is a regional position base in either Houston or Dallas, TX. Location can be negotiated with Admissions Director during the hiring process. |
Work Schedule |
Monday – Friday
8:00 am – 4:30 pm May work extended hours, including some weekends, or alternative schedule as needed during peak season or special projects. Some professional development travel may be required. |

Additional Position Information |
Position will be located in Houston or Dallas, TX. Location can be negotiated with Director of Admissions and Orientation. Position will recruit freshmen and transfer students in Houston and Dallas markets. Position will undergo annual evaluation to assess value of the regional placement.

Duties & Responsibilities |
Develops and manages pool of prospective students in out-of-state markets.
Plans and implements effective recruitment strategies utilizing market research and ongoing trend analysis to set goals and monitor progress.
Creates strategic partnerships with education constituents, including counselors, principals, University of Memphis alumni and parents.
Communicates with prospective students in person, by phone and mail; Counsels prospective students regarding enrollment to the UofM, including admissions requirements, financial aid and other topics.

Duties & Responsibilities |
Assists in the planning, organizing, and supervision of regional recruitment programs and UofM partnership programs and events. This includes management of school counselor visit programs and regional recruitment events.
Coordinates recruiting activities with university and educational partners such as UofM alumni and others; Develops initiatives to promote and encourage diversity that reflects the goals of the institution and enriches the education experience for all in the UofM community.
Develops visitation schedule for high achieving students and VIP campus visits.
